This video is a precious gem to listen, reflect on and meditate: teachings by Kyabje Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche Karma Rangjung Khunkhyab 🙏 ☸ Kyabje Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche Karma Rangjung Kunkhyab was a yogi, scholar, and one of the great meditation masters of the Buddhist tradition. His teachings were sought by lamas of all four schools of Buddhism in Tibet. Lineage holder of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition and senior Meditation Master of the Karma Kagyu tradition, he was foremost in spreading the Dharma to the West and establishing Dharma and facilities for Westerners to undertake the traditional three-year retreat.
"Whenever I myself am seen or heard or recalled, or made offerings to or praised and so on, or even reviled, may all sentient beings with such interdependent connections to me quickly manifest perfect buddhahood."🙏 ☸Kyabje Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche Karma Rangjung Kunkhyab was born in the Hor region of Kham, eastern Tibet, in 1905. He received monastic ordination in the Palpung monastery (Tibet) by Tai Situ Rinpoche at the age of thirteen, receiving the name of Karma Rabjung Kunkhyab. At the age of sixteen, he entered the large retreat center of Tsadra Rinchen Drak, the headquarters of Djamgön Lodrö Thaye, where he completed the three-year and three-month retreat. ☸At the age of twenty-five, he gave up all things, family ties, material comforts, etc. He lived in solitary mountain retreats in Lhapu, in the Derge region, and in various other places. For twelve years, he practiced the strictest asceticism with all the force of perseverance. Subsequently, at the direction of Situ Pema Wangchug, he returned to Palpung and served for a period of many years as a retreat master and lama of the two retreat centers, Naro Ling and Nigu Ling. ☸Over a period of several years, he maintained, protected, and propagated the teachings. He established new retreat centers for the teachings of the Kamtsang and Shangpa traditions and built new stupas. In 1966, Rinpoche moved to Samdrub Darjey Chöling Monastery in Sonada, Darjeeling District, India. From 1971 to 1989, Rinpoche traveled many times to numerous countries; the United States, Canada, and the countries of Europe or Southeast Asia.
